The official chatroom currently exposes chat messages, uploads, recording, voice selection, photo controls, companion switching, customization, and paid media or calling options. Labels and access can change as the product remains under active development.
Use visual prompts deliberately
The official interface advertises photo and media generation tools. Results can be inconsistent, and access may depend on your plan, queue, settings, and current model.
Shift from typing to speaking
Official pages promote voice interaction and real-time calls. Check live tier details before paying, because calling access and premium voice features may not be included everywhere.
Prompting without jargon
Better prompts begin with role, setting, tone and boundaries.
You do not need a complex prompt. Begin with four pieces of context: who the companion is, how the companion relates to you, where the scene begins, and what tone you want. Add boundaries or topics to avoid. Then start with an action or question that gives the character something concrete to respond to.
Example opening
“You are a warm, quick-witted travel photographer and my long-distance partner. We are planning a quiet weekend in Lisbon. Keep the conversation playful but grounded, ask one question at a time, and avoid making up bookings or prices. Start by asking what kind of morning I want.”
When a reply drifts, correct it directly: summarize the important detail, explain what felt wrong, and restate the desired direction. Long prompts are not always better. Clear constraints and feedback often matter more.
- Separate fictional roleplay from real-world facts and advice.
- Do not treat generated medical, legal, financial, or safety guidance as professional help.
- Avoid sharing secrets merely to make the conversation feel more intimate.
- If chat becomes distressing, step away and reconnect with a trusted person.
Memory & privacy
What companion memory keeps—and what it can get wrong.
Muah AI's official FAQ describes cloud-stored conversations and a permanent memory system. It also says information may be used to improve and train the AI. The official privacy policy lists information supplied by users along with usage, device, and activity data. Read the current versions yourself before sharing sensitive material.
Memory is an AI behavior, not a guaranteed database of truth. The provider's FAQ acknowledges that archived memories may sometimes reappear. Repetition, contradiction, hallucination, and character drift are normal risks in generative systems.
A sensible rule is to share only what you would be comfortable entrusting to an online service. Never upload material you do not have the right to use, and do not create deceptive or non-consensual depictions of real people.
